In the summer season there are a lot of flies, horseflies and insects. There are fly masks to protect the heads of horses and to ensure that these creatures do not settle around the eyes and ears of the horse. These masks are available in different colors, sizes and models. Masks available from brands such as QHP, Tomorrow en Harry's Horse.

Fly masks are made from a fine mesh and in many cases are finished all around with a fur edge or fleece. The masks can be pulled over the head or can be attached using Velcro at the bottom.

Fly mask with or without ears

A fly mask with ears ensures that the horse's ears are optimally protected. This way, flies, horseflies and insects have no chance to crawl into the ears, which again cause discomfort to the horse.

Fly mask without ears

Some horses cannot tolerate having something over their ears. There are fly masks without ears for this purpose. The masks are finished with a fur or fleece edge around the ears, so that they do not chafe on the horse's ears.
