QHP Double Jointed Eggbutt Snaffle Anatomical 14 mm Argentan. A double jointed eggbutt snaffle is a simple, standard bit that is well accepted by most horses.

The use of fixed rings (egg-butt snaffle) creates a more stable position in the horse's mouth than with a loose ring snaffle. This, combined with the double-jointed mouthpiece, distributes pressure evenly across the tongue, resulting in a less harsh impact on the palate.

The mouthpiece of this bit is 14 mm thick and has large rings starting at size 12,5 cm. Sizes 9,5, 10,5, and 11,5 cm come with smaller rings suitable for ponies.

Argentine has a neutral to slightly sweet taste and won't oxidize like Sweet Iron. Argentine stays smooth longer and changes color or texture less quickly. Argentine is primarily used for horses that are sensitive to oxidation or for horses that require a gentler bit action.
