The use of loose rings (water snaffle) allows for independent movement in the horse's mouth in combination with the double-jointed mouthpiece, which distributes the pressure evenly over the tongue, resulting in a less harsh impact on the palate.

The mouthpiece of this bit is 14 mm thick and has large rings starting at size 12,5 cm. Sizes 9,5, 10,5, and 11,5 cm come with smaller rings suitable for ponies.

A horse bit with a sandblasted mouthpiece has a rougher surface, creating a stable fit in the mouth. The matte finish prevents the bit from slipping or moving around in the mouth.
