Our foal halters are designed to gradually get your foal used to wearing a halter, quite soon after birth. Peace and patience are key, and we advise you to give your foal plenty of time to get the hang of walking with a halter.
To help your foal, you can place a hand on its rump or let the mare lead the way, so that the foal will follow more quickly. With a gentle habituation you increase the chance that your Shetland or Miniature Horse foal will not have any problems putting on the halter in the rest of its life.
